Quick Start Guide

Get your first compliance scan running in under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Create your account

Visit the BarGuard website and sign up with your email address. You'll receive a verification email to confirm your account.

Step 2: Complete onboarding

After signing in for the first time, you'll be guided through a quick setup wizard:

  1. Welcome — A brief introduction to BarGuard and how it works
  2. Your details — Enter your first name, last name, and firm name
  3. Select jurisdictions — Choose which state bar rules to scan against (you can change these later)
  4. Add your first URL — Paste your website's homepage or any page you'd like to scan
  5. Watch your first scan — See real-time progress as BarGuard scrapes, analyzes, and scores your page

Step 3: Review your first scan

Once your first scan completes, you'll be taken to your dashboard where you can:

  • View your compliance score (0-100)
  • Review any detected violations
  • See remediation guidance for each issue

Step 4: Add more pages

From the Pages section, you can add more URLs to monitor:

  • Add URL — Add pages one at a time
  • Crawl Website — Automatically discover pages on your site
  • Bulk Upload — Paste multiple URLs at once (available on paid plans)
